P.S. Story of the Day:
Usually, meeting and event planners foot the bill, but here's a wonderful example of someone who had seen me speak four years earlier, found me via Google and figured out her own way to bring the show to Grand Junction, Colorado... Talk about making a speaker feel great.
Christy Hovland of Hovland Marketing found friends within Mesa County, got help (thanks Marilyn), sponsors (Thanks all), convinced the president (Thanks Lisa) and, in a move I can only describe as humbling, did one of the best jobs of promoting I have ever seen. Together, they tripled their revenue and attendance in a matter of a few weeks.
